About the Archives

The Risk Analysis Discussion Group Archives is a data base of all the posts to RADG from its inception in late 2023 PLUS an extensive set of posts from a predecessor list, RISKANAL. Thanks to RADG Member Marc Lassagne, it now includes thousands of RISKANAL posts. Marc is a self-described "digital hoarder" who maintained his own archive that, while not complete, comprises over 5000 posts from 2001 through late 2023.

Searching the Archives

Probably putting some search string in the box at top right is the easiest way to see how it works. Using quote marks around a longer phrase may help you narrow down the search.

Caveats:

1. The importing process lost the string structure for the RISKANAL posts, so each post is in its own string, which might make searching feel a bit inefficient.
2. Sometimes you may have to open an attachment to see the text of the post.
3. There seems to have been some errors regarding attachments. Sometimes these attachments open as expected, but sometimes they seem to have nothing to do with the search terms or contain some of the post's text but some garbage, too.
